Birthday Favorites

In honor of my birthday, I’m going to break my usual posting schedule and share some random favorites.

I love purple! Mostly darker shades and any combination of purple and black. And I usually keep at least one purple streak in my hair.

My favorite holiday is Christmas. Yes, my decorations are already up! The lights, the time together with my family, hot chocolate and marshmallows, sappy movies and the music! I have several Christmas playlists but Pentatonix Christmas is usually the one that gets played first. “That’s Christmas to Me” is just…epic.

Winnie the Pooh. The old episodes and movies. Pooh is my favorite character, though I adore all of them.

Oversized hoodies. When I write, I’m usually in my oversized zip up hoodie that goes down to my knees like a wearable blanket.

Some of my favorite shows, though there is no way I’d be able to list them all: The Vampire Diaries, One Tree Hill, any and all Star Trek, Stranger Things, Switched at Birth, Once Upon a Time, Rizzoli and Isles, M.A.S.H., Law and Order SVU, Bones, The Wheel of Time, and Shadow and Bone.

Some of my favorite movies: The Princess Bride, Neverending Story, The Last Unicorn, Into the Woods, Stardust, Star Wars, Star Trek, Ender’s Game, Jupiter Rising, Passengers, Interstellar, Hidden Figures, and tons of Disney as I am partial to things I can sing to.

Being an author. I love everything about being an author, even the hard and stressful parts. Watching my ideas form into a book, turning that book into something shareable and then seeing new people discover my created world and fall in love with it is the best feeling ever.

Reading. Everything I can get my hands on, though I do have a preference for fade to black in my romance more so than anything explicit. I love stories. The exploration of the human condition in circumstances only limited to someone’s imagination.

I am a cat person, though I do love all things cute and fuzzy.
