I am adding this here, and I have submitted an update for my ‘about the book’ on Amazon. I have been debating on adding this information because in some cases I feel that content warnings can give things away. On the other hand, I cannot stress enough how much I understand that being surprised by content in a book can upset people.
I was extremely cautious in how I approached these heavier themes in my novel, and I worked very hard to make sure that references were implied through dialogue and remained off-page events in order to stay YA appropriate.
All that said, if/when you do read the book, please comment below if you can think of other places you would like to see advisories or if you feel that I missed listing something.
